Vallejo wet palette that keeps your paints wet and workable for longer, ideal for miniature painters and modelers.
A wet palette is a tool, used especially by miniature painters and modelers, that allows acrylic paints to remain moist and workable for longer. It consists of an airtight container holding a moistened sponge, covered with a sheet of special paper that allows moisture to pass through.
The container consists of a lid and a base, with a rubber seal that ensures airtightness and the maintenance of internal humidity for a prolonged time. The sponge and the water necessary to keep it moist are placed in the base.
The hydrating sponge is one of the key components of a wet palette. Its main function is to retain water and provide a constant source of moisture to the palette paper, preventing acrylic paints from drying out too quickly.
The hydrating paper allows moisture to reach the surface from the sponge, and is tough enough to prevent it from tearing or breaking down when in contact with the paints.
Content:
Wet palette
240×160 mm | 9.45×6.3 in
Durable ABS plastic container consisting of a base and lid. It features a rubber gasket to ensure a watertight seal when closed. The base has non-slip rubber feet for stability. The lid fits snugly under the container to save space. The lid can also be used as a second scoop. Magnets on both sides allow for easy attachment of the scoop.
Hydrating sponge x2
220×140 mm | 8.66×5.52 in
Made of PVA, it has the necessary thickness to ensure moisture retention for extended periods, maintaining an adequate water reserve without oversaturating the moisturizing paper. It is designed to be reusable and easy to clean.
Moisturizing paper (60gr/m2) x30
225×145 mm | 8.86×5.71 in
Porous, moisture-resistant membrane paper. It is designed to be thin enough to transfer moisture, yet strong enough to withstand paint applications and handling for color mixing. It has a white finish to avoid altering the perception of colors.
*Make sure to place the matte side in contact with the sponge and use the satin side for the paint.
Elastic band
150×35 mm | 5.9×1.38 in
It allows you to ensure a tight seal between the base and the lid of the pallet during transport.
Accessory palette
150×35 mm | 5.9×1.38 in
Made of ABS plastic, it has 5 wells for mixing or diluting colors, saving space on the paper. It attaches to the sides of the wet palette base using magnets.
