A wet palette is a tool, used especially by miniature painters and modelers, that allows acrylic paints to remain moist and workable for longer. It consists of an airtight container holding a moistened sponge, covered with a sheet of special paper that allows moisture to pass through.

The container consists of a lid and a base, with a rubber seal that ensures airtightness and the maintenance of internal humidity for a prolonged time. The sponge and the water necessary to keep it moist are placed in the base.

The hydrating sponge is one of the key components of a wet palette. Its main function is to retain water and provide a constant source of moisture to the palette paper, preventing acrylic paints from drying out too quickly.

The hydrating paper allows moisture to reach the surface from the sponge, and is tough enough to prevent it from tearing or breaking down when in contact with the paints.

The lid fits snugly under the container to save space. The lid can also be used as a second scoop. Magnets on both sides allow for easy attachment of the scoop.
